Verna Griffiths (Miller)

Verna Griffiths, 102, of Scott Twp., Formerly of Lake Sheridan died Tuesday Morning at home. Born in Scranton on June 23, 1914; the daughter of the late Frank and Lillian Neuls Miller.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Factoryville and Order of the Eastern Star. Known to most as Nana, she loved being at Lake Sheridan.

Preceded in death by her husband Willard R. Griffiths; two children Dorothy Edwards and Willard K. Griffiths; a grandson Bradley Griffiths.

Surviving are six grandchildren: Robert Alpert, April Edwards, Kim Frazier, Kris McCawley, Mark and Matt Griffiths. Eleven great grandchildren and three great great children.

Memorial service will be Saturday at 2pm from Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 Reynolds St. Factoryville with Rev. Paul Fields II officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 2 pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
