Veronica Stugus (Andrejco)

Veronica Stugus, 99, of Fleetville died Sunday morning Jan.14, 2024 at her home. Born March 12, 1924 in Scranton; the daughter of the late George and Mary Blasko Andrejco. Veronica and her late husband Anthony John Stugus who died in 2016 celebrated their 66-wedding anniversary on July 15. 2016.

Veronica loved going to Lake Ontario and traveling. She was proud of her grandsons becoming Eagle Scouts. She attended Moscow Schools. Member of St. John Vianney Parish formerly Corpus Christi Church, Scott Twp. Lifelong member of the Fleetville Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary.

The family is thankful that she was able to stay at her home because of all the devoted care givers, especially her granddaughter Elizabeth, everyone else that showed love and care to Veronica.

Preceded in death by eight siblings Annie, Margaret, Helen, George, Marion, Betty, Agnes, Michael; longtime friend, Evalyn Rudat.

Surviving are two children, a daughter Mary Pat and her husband Phil Saxton and a son John Anthony Stugus Sr.  Four grandchildren Tony Saxton of Fleetville, Elizabeth Ann Wedlock of Falls, John Anthony Stugus Jr of Clarks Summit and Scott Saxton of Doylestown, sister, Irene McCabe of Clarks Summit, Eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Blessing Service will be Wednesday Jan.17, 2024 at 12 noon from Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 Reynolds St, Factoryville with Rev. Fr, Andrew Amankwaa officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 10:30 until service time. Interment at Chase cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Fleetville Fire Company PO Box 6 Fleetville, PA 18420
