Veronica (Vern) McCain, 92, of Tunkhannock passed away on Saturday October 10
th
at the VNA Hospice, Scranton.
She was born on May 9, 1923 in Jerome, PA. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Layno.
Veronica was married to the late David McCain who died on May 27, 2004.
In addition to her parents and husband, Veronica was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter Diane and husband Robert Spahr of Eagles Mere, PA, and her son Wayne and wife Bonnie McCain of Tunkhannock,
5 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
She shared many family traditions, most of these coming from her wonderful kitchen. In her later years, her grandchildren and great grandchildren held a special place in her heart,
all of
whom loved her as “Grandma” and “Great Grandma”.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
