Viola Hollister

Viola Hollister, 82, of Hop Bottom passed away at the Meadow View Nursing Home on May 23, 2025.  She was born in Hop Bottom on Aug. 17, 1942, and she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Edna Springer Wood.

Viola was married to the late Fred Hollister for many years.

In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by her brothers; Arthur Wood, Howard Wood, Donald Wood, Ronald Wood, sisters; Irene Carey, Laura Wells, and Gertrude Sickler.

She is survived by her brother Jerry “Lenord” Wood, Jr. and a sister Julia Farr, and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held June 6, 2025 at 11am from the East Rush Cemetery, 185 Cemetery Rd, Montrose, PA 18801
