William B. Dixon

William B. Dixon, 89, of Factoryville died January 29, 2016 at Geisinger C.M.C., Scranton. Born on September 24, 1926 in Factoryville; the son of the late Cecil A. and Hazel Aten Dixon. His wife the former Arline H. Graham died December 6, 2004.
He was a graduate of Factoryville High School. The founder of Dixon’s Hoagie Hut, established in 1975.
Bill was preceded in death besides his wife, two sisters Lorna McClain and Gertrude Moore and a son-in-law Walter Knight.
Surviving are four daughters Cheryl Knight of Scranton, Diane Bortnyk of Myrtle Beach, SC and Paulette Johnson and Tera Basile of Factoryville; three sons Donald of Nicholson, William S. and Scott of Factoryville; Four brothers Richard of Clarks Summit, Loren of Factoryville, Reese of Cottonwood, AZ, Dale of Osprey, FL; nineteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral service will be at the convenience of the family from the Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 Reynolds St, Factoryville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm. Interment at Evergreen Woodlawn Cemetery, Factoryville. Memorial contributions may be made to Area Agency on Aging-Luzerne and Wyoming Counties 111 N Pennsylvania Ave # 100, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
